Rescue Center

Dhabian Equestrian Club will take on any animal in need.  When Tina first moved to the new farm in Shahama, every day bought a new sad story of a horse in need.

Tina's first rescue case was a horse that was fondly know as Harley......

Harley was found on the streets of Bahiya, once the owner was located Tina pleaded with him to let her take him to her stable and rehabilitate him without charge to the owner.  He refused.  Tina negotiated with the owner until finally he agreed to sell him to her. Seeing that the horse was so clearly in need Tina agreed to pay for the horse in the hope that she could give him some kind of chance in life.

But sadly she was too late.............

Harley was blind from malnutrition
and had severe internal problems
from ongoing starvation.  His feet
had abscess and his health failed
to improve.

After a month of care, Harley
started to get worse.......................

Tina made the heart wrenching
decision to have Harley put to sleep. But Harley will always remain in Dhabian Equestrian Clubs Memories.........

Since Harley's rescue Tina has to date rescued over 15 horses from different situations and has taken on other horses that people have not been able to sell or relocate........

Tina continues to campaign for the correct  and humane care of horses across the world and will take in anything that is in need.

If anyone knows of horses that are in need of rehoming or rehabilitation please contact the habian Equestrian Club for further info......

There are now legislation in the UAE law that protect animals from cruelty DEC will be happy to put you in touch with the correct people......

A Statement From Tina:

Its always a worry when you take on Rescue animal's, especially when you don't have a separated area to keep them in.  You always run the risk of people thinking that your the reason that they got that way in the first place.  It's really difficult to rehabilitate some of these horse and can be quite expensive, I am very fortunate that I have many friends who have a wealth of experience and are always willing to help.  I am very thankful to all those that have helped in the past and for those that will continue to help in the future.  together perhaps we can do more to help animals in need...........
